In support of the Indonesian government’s efforts to curb and control the spread of COVID-19, a medical team led by Dr. Deisy Supir from the Bailang Public Health Center (Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat – Puskesmas) Manado, Health Department, administered the third (booster) dose to Regional Secretariat staff at the CTI Center Lobby on 11 April.

The inoculation began around 10:00 a.m. The RS staff who promptly gathered to receive the vaccine were led by the DED-CS, Mr. Gustaaf Adolf Lumiu. We are thankful for the strong turnout of RS staff who participated in this vaccination activity.

CTI-CFF: progress towards SDG 13 and COP26

The Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF) is a multilateral partnership of six countries (the CT6: Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands and Timor-Leste) working together to sustain extraordinary marine and coastal resources by addressing crucial issues such as food security, climate change and marine biodiversity.

The CTI Women Leaders Forum developed the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Policy as a critical tool for ensuring the CTI-CFF as an inclusive regional platform for achieving its marine conservation and resource management goals. The GESI policy was approved during the 16th Senior Officials Meeting (December 2021) and agreed to the inclusion of GESI policy to any interventions or programs being implemented by the CTI-CFF.
