Coral Triangle Initiative Names New Executive Director and
Deputy Executive Director for Corporate Services of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat
Honiara, Solomon Islands, 04–06 November 2019. The environment, fisheries, and marine senior officials of the Coral Triangle (CT) member countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands, and Timor-Leste – will gather together in the 15th Senior Officials Meeting in Honiara, Solomon Islands this 7th–8th November 2019. One of the significant items to be discussed is the draft redesigned Regional Plan of Action (RPOA) version 2.0, which sets goals for 2025 and 2030.

The 8th Marine Protected Area (MPA) Working Group and 8th MPA Regional Exchange focused on strengthening the region-wide comprehensive, ecologically representative, and well-managed Coral Triangle MPA System (CTMPAS) by conducting a review of its activities and effectiveness management tools.
The event was attended by representatives from the CT6 countries (except the Philippines) and development partners from WWF Coral Triangle Program and Coral Triangle Center.
